It’s very pretty, but do you seriously think it’s a good idea? I can already imagine open parasols at cons irritating the heck out of everyone trying to see around them and getting poked with them, accidently or not. I have the feeling it won’t be long until they’re banned as well.

    Hi Shelly,

I seriously think it is a good idea, or we wouldn’t have started production. The next time you’re at a convention look around the convention floor. There are already numerous cosplayers carrying parasols. You’ll also see numerous dealers selling parasols. It follows that if these parasols are banned all the other parasols that have been part of Anime shows since their beginning would also have to be banned.

Parasols are far from the top of the list of obtrusive items on cosplayers backs. There’s nothing for people to get poked by, since as I mentioned in the following post the spokes are trimmed. There’s always the risk of bumping into a person or their costume item. That problem won’t start or end with these parasols. People just don’t seem to look where they’re going at coventions.

I’m happy that you feel these will be such a success that people will be stuggling to see past the sea of yaoi parasols on convention floors. I hope they really are that successful.
