Different yaoi companies and creators stepped up to raise money for Haiti. Studio Kosen auctioned artwork from Saihoshi Redemption, raising €131.77 for Unicef, Yaoi Press auctioned a bundle of yaoi goodies raising $52 for Unicef, Studio Kawaii and Kosen auctioned various manga and yaoi artwork through Shojo Spain for Haiti charities, Yaoi Con dedicated a weeks worth of auctions to ‘Doctors without Borders’ to help Haiti, and Yaoi Generation donated all sales for 11 days to the Red Cross’ Haiti relief fund. Blu Manga raised their cover prices from $12.99 to $14.99 but promises thicker manga. Yaoi Prose launched the highly anticipated Saihoshi Redemption illustrated ebook series. Yaoi melts snow, y’know. You’ve shoveled enough. If you have to be trapped indoors due to apocalyptic blizzards you may as well have something good to read, right? |
